Elder Austin Cook's Farewell Sunday Aug 14, 2016 and Open House

Austin gave his farewell talk Sunday, Aug 14, 2016 in Sacrament meeting.  His talk was on missionary work.  He gave a beautiful talk.  Cameron Steele came and played a beautiful piece on the piano called "For His Friends"  He had Taylor Sinquefield sing and a young lady play the cello.  It brought the spirit so strongly.  Then after church we had family and friends gather at our home for lunch.

Austin's First Temple day

Austin took out his Temple endowments Thursday evening August 4, 2016 for the 7 pm session.  His mother and father took him and we were blessed to have Christine, Kent, Jeremy and Fraser Lefevre, from the Valley Vista Ward, be there too.  Brother and Sister Lefevre were the witness couple and their sons Jeremy and Fraser both served a Filipino Mission.   It was a beautiful session and Austin got to see the exact same film his mom saw in 1991 when she took out her endowments for the first time.

Austin opening his mission call July 3, 2016

On July 3, 2016 Austin Russell Cook opened his mission call to the Philippines, Legazpi Mission. He will preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Tagalog language.  He was a bit surprised when he found out that he had 6 weeks before reporting to the MTC (Mission Training Center) in Provo, Utah reporting at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2016   People there for my opening of my call was my family, my great friend Parker Skouson, my best friend from high school Kaylin, grandma and grandpa fisher, Falene Fletcher on face time.
